Agrometeo Network Monitoring for the optimization of treatment in Oliviculture
The system allows you to monitor in detail the agricultural areas, improving the quality and quantity of agricultural production and reduces management costs and risks of both environmental and anthropogenic factors. The system is able to continuously acquire a series of data that will allow agronomic variable intensity, based on the actual need of the culture and the morphological characteristics and climatic conditions of the area in question, also contributing to the reduction of the environmental impact favoring the restriction of the use of pesticides. This system allows, in fact, to identify and evaluate the risk indices of a plant pathology and allows you to implement appropriate strategies to prevent and reduce the use of pesticides. Climatic factors determine the conditions under which favored the emergence of some plant diseases or attack by specific parasites.
The monitoring of parameters such as temperature and air humidity provides useful indications to perform preventive treatments and targeted, with a significant cost savings and environmental impact of the chemicals used, obtaining positive effects in terms of reduction of costs and less environmental impact. At an operational level, the system is able to acquire data locally from a wireless sensor network (WSN), to transmit to a local collection point (sink), which, via GSM / GPRS system, forwards them to a any central collection point that can therefore be in any area of the national territory.
